“It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s a light bulb?,” my visiting finch tweeted from a top of the string lighting which provides a “canopy” for my urban (NYC ) garden.
I’m told she wanted to include Thomas Edison’s quote that “Genius is one percent inspiration, ninety-nine percent perspiration.” But she sent the tweet without including Edison’s quote, as she prefers to stay well under the 140 character limit.
I suppose my finch thought of Edison’s quote because she has heard me say that finding the right lighting for my garden was quite a journey for me. Details @http://www.thelastleafgardener.com/2011/09/my-september-baccalaureate-journey.html
Garden lighting, as well as the antics of birds in gardens, are topics I plan to include in the garden themed Virtual Stories (movies) that I hope to produce for my “giving voice to what lives in a garden,” which I’ve recently launched on indiegogo. Details @ http://bit.ly/KGeJ96
What about you, dear reader? How do you light your garden? Do any birds visit your garden?
